This Week in Anchorage is a short round-up of events happening around town. It’s by no means an exhaustive list and we welcome additional events or activities in the comments!
Monday, March 28, 6-8pm – Boss Babes: Women in Business
Join YWCA AK and the Anchorage Museum for this panel of women business owners discussing lessons learned and how they’ve built thriving business. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and work in smaller groups with a panelist to get more individualized feedback. View more information and reserve a spot.
YWCA is hosting a variety of events all week, including a live workout, a self-defense class, and a pop-up shop.

All Week – Mann Leiser Memorial Greenhouse
While we’re currently stuck somewhere between winter and spring, visit this tropical greenhouse in East Anchorage for a much-needed dose of warmth and greenery. Free. View hours and location.

Friday, April 1 – First Friday
Galleries and stores all over Anchorage feature local artists, musicians, and host events to celebrate the first Friday of the month. The Anchorage Museum has free admission between 6-9pm, and plenty of other spaces are hosting events as well, such as Akela Space, Stephan Fine Arts, SEED Lab, Dos Manos, AK Cycle Chic and many more.

Saturday, April 2, 10am-1pm – APU Gear Swap
Get ready for summer with some new-to-you gear and get rid of some of your old gear at the Alaska Pacific University Gear Swap on Saturday, April 2nd. The Gear Swap is an affordable way to try out a new sport or pass on some older gear to someone who needs it. Full details here.
